A Comparative Study of Composite Health Measures


Abstract
The goal of this study was to review the composite health measures through ralated articles. Increasing concem with the quality of gains in life years has led to the development of a new synthetic indicator of population, namely health expectancy. The health expectancy can be defined as the expected years for which one doesn¢¥t feel any discomfort or pain due to morbidities and disabilities. A large number of artcles about health expectancy had been published. I classified health expectancy indicators and criticized them. The results are as follows:
